  • Third Party Keyboards provide an alternative way to input keyboard data. These keyboards can access all of the data you type, including bank account and credit card numbers, street addresses, as well as other personal and sensitive information. These keyboards may also access nearby text or data, which is useful for improving autocorrect functionality.\n\nIf you enable Full Access, developers are permitted to access, collect and transmit the data you type. In addition, if the third party application containing the keyboard has your permission to access location, photos, or other personal data, the keyboard can also collect and transmit that information to the keyboard developer’s servers. If you disable Full Access for a third party keyboard, and then re-enable it, the keyboard’s developer may be able to access, collect and transmit what was typed while the network access was disabled.\n\nIf you do not enable Full Access, developers are not permitted to collect and transmit the data you type. Any unauthorized collection or transmission of this data without your permission would be a violation of their developer agreement. Furthermore, there are also technical limitations in effect to prevent unauthorized access. Any attempt to defeat these limitations would also be a violation of their developer agreement.\n\nYou may choose to disable a third party keyboard at any time.   • When you use Ask Siri and Dictation the things you say and dictate will be recorded and sent to Apple to process your requests. Your device will also send Apple other information, such as your name and nickname; the names, nicknames, and relationship with you (e.g., “my dad”) of your contacts, music you enjoy, HomeKit-enabled devices in your home (e.g., “living room lights”), the names of your photo albums, the names of Apps installed on your device (collectively, your “User Data”). All of this data is used to help Ask Siri and Dictation on your iOS device and any paired Apple Watch understand you better and recognize what you say. It is not linked to other data that Apple may have from your use of other Apple services.\n\nIf you have Location Services turned on, the location of your device at the time you make a request will also be sent to Apple to help Ask Siri and Dictation improve the accuracy of its response to your requests. You may choose to turn off Location Services for Ask Siri. To do so, open Settings on your iOS device, tap Privacy, tap Location Services, tap Siri &amp; Dictation and select “Never”.\n\nIf you choose to allow third party Apps to integrate with Ask Siri, some data from these Apps may be sent to Apple to help Ask Siri understand your request, and portions of your request will be shared with the App to help provide a response or take an action (e.g., make a reservation at a restaurant or book a ride). If you choose to allow Apps to use Ask Siri for transcription, the voice data to be transcribed may be sent to Apple. You may control which Apps can integrate with Ask Siri at any time under Siri Settings.\n\nYou may choose to turn off Ask Siri or Dictation at any time. To turn off Ask Siri, open Settings on your iOS device, tap Siri &amp; Search, and slide the Listen for “Hey Siri” and Press Home for Siri switches to “off”. To turn off Dictation, open Settings, tap General, tap Keyboard, and slide the Enable Dictation switch to “off”. If you turn off both Ask Siri and Dictation, Apple will delete your User Data, as well as your recent voice input data. Older voice input data that has been disassociated from you may be retained for a period of time to generally improve Ask Siri, Dictation and dictation functionality in other Apple products and services. This voice input data may include audio files and transcripts of what you said, related diagnostic data, such as hardware and operating system specifications and performance statistics, and the approximate location of your device at the time the request was made.\n\nYou can also restrict the ability to use Ask Siri &amp; Dictation altogether under the Restrictions Setting.\n\nBy using Ask Siri or Dictation, you agree and consent to Apple’s and its subsidiaries’ and agents’ transmission, collection, maintenance, processing, and use of this information, including your voice input, User Data, and other data that may be sent to Apple by Apps that integrate with Siri, to provide and improve Siri, Dictation, and dictation functionality in other Apple products and services.\n\nAt all times, information collected by Apple will be treated in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.apple.com/privacy.

  • When you use Ask Siri and Dictation the things you say and dictate will be recorded and sent to Apple to process your requests. Your device will also send Apple other information, such as your name and nickname; the names, nicknames, and relationship with you (e.g., “my dad”) of your contacts, music you enjoy, HomeKit-enabled devices in your home (e.g., “living room lights”), the names of your photo albums, the names of Apps installed on your device (collectively, your “User Data”). All of this data is used to help Ask Siri and Dictation on your iOS device and any paired Apple Watch understand you better and recognize what you say. It is not linked to other data that Apple may have from your use of other Apple services.\n\nIf you have Location Services turned on, the location of your device at the time you make a request will also be sent to Apple to help Ask Siri and Dictation improve the accuracy of its response to your requests. You may choose to turn off Location Services for Ask Siri. To do so, open Settings on your iOS device, tap Privacy, tap Location Services, tap Siri &amp; Dictation and select “Never”.\n\nIf you choose to allow third party Apps to integrate with Ask Siri, some data from these Apps may be sent to Apple to help Ask Siri understand your request, and portions of your request will be shared with the App to help provide a response or take an action (e.g., make a reservation at a restaurant or book a ride). If you choose to allow Apps to use Ask Siri for transcription, the voice data to be transcribed may be sent to Apple. You may control which Apps can integrate with Ask Siri at any time under Siri Settings.\n\nYou may choose to turn off Ask Siri or Dictation at any time. To turn off Ask Siri, open Settings on your iOS device, tap Siri &amp; Search, and slide the Listen for “Hey Siri” and Press Side Button for Siri switches to “off”. To turn off Dictation, open Settings, tap General, tap Keyboard, and slide the Enable Dictation switch to “off”. If you turn off both Ask Siri and Dictation, Apple will delete your User Data, as well as your recent voice input data. Older voice input data that has been disassociated from you may be retained for a period of time to generally improve Ask Siri, Dictation and dictation functionality in other Apple products and services. This voice input data may include audio files and transcripts of what you said, related diagnostic data, such as hardware and operating system specifications and performance statistics, and the approximate location of your device at the time the request was made.\n\nYou can also restrict the ability to use Ask Siri &amp; Dictation altogether under the Restrictions Setting.\n\nBy using Ask Siri or Dictation, you agree and consent to Apple’s and its subsidiaries’ and agents’ transmission, collection, maintenance, processing, and use of this information, including your voice input, User Data, and other data that may be sent to Apple by Apps that integrate with Siri, to provide and improve Siri, Dictation, and dictation functionality in other Apple products and services.\n\nAt all times, information collected by Apple will be treated in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.apple.com/privacy.

  • The TV App allows you to access and watch your favorite TV shows and movies from multiple video apps all in one place across all your supported Apple devices that are signed into the same Apple ID.\n\nYou must grant permission for your participating third party apps to be connected to the TV App and begin sharing what you watch from those apps with Apple. When you set up the TV App, you’ll be asked to grant permission for multiple applications at one time. Some of the apps may be apps that you do not yet have installed, and your preferences will be applied if they are installed later. Whether or not you grant permission, you will be able to change your preferences for each app in Settings.\n\nOnce you connect a third party app to the TV App, Apple will collect information about what you’re watching from that app on any of your Apple devices logged into the same Apple ID and store it associated with your Apple ID so that Apple can display what you’re watching across all your Apple devices in the TV App. Apple apps with supported content, such as Movies and Apple Music, may be automatically connected when you start using the TV app.\n\nInformation about what you’re watching will include what content you’re playing, when you played it, the device you played it from, and where in the content you paused or stopped watching. Apple will use this information to provide you with the TV App functionality so you can continue watching your favorite TV shows and movies in one place and to recommend other content you might enjoy. In addition, to help improve and optimize the TV App product, Apple may collect information about your usage of the TV App including which of its features you use (e.g., Up Next or Library), items you search for, and content pages you browse or view.\n\nYou can control Apple’s collection and storage of information about what you watch in the TV App and your connected third party apps in Settings. If at any time you decide you no longer want one of your third party apps to be connected to the TV App, you may remove that app from the TV App and Apple will stop collecting your play data from that third party app. On tvOS, go to Settings &gt; Apps &gt; TV &gt; Connect to TV, select the third party app and set to OFF. On iOS, go to Settings &gt; TV &gt; Connect to TV, select the third party app and set to OFF. When removing a third party app from the TV App, you may also choose to delete all play data information Apple has collected about content you’ve watched from that app by choosing the ‘Remove and Clear Play History’ option. You may also, at any time, choose to delete all of your play data information Apple has collected about all third party content you watch in the TV App. On tvOS, go to Settings &gt; Apps &gt; TV &gt; Clear Play History. On iOS, go to Settings &gt; TV &gt; Clear Play History. Clearing your play history in any of these described instances only clears your third party app play data that is held and used by Apple for the TV App. It does not affect any play data that is held separately by the third party app provider (e.g., within their own app or on their servers), nor does it delete any information about content from Apple that you have watched, such as content purchased from iTunes.\n\nIf at any time you don’t want to share what you’re watching on a particular device with Apple or have that content appear in the TV App across all your devices, you can turn off sharing from that device. On tvOS, go to Settings &gt; Apps &gt; TV &gt; Up Next and set to OFF. On iOS, go to Settings &gt; TV &gt; Up Next and set to OFF. This will turn off the Up Next functionality in the TV App on that device, hide the Up Next row from view, and prevent Apple from collecting any information about the content you watch from connected third party apps on that device. This will not, however, stop the connected third party app from separately retaining information about what you watch from that app.\n\nYou should also review the terms, privacy policies, and practices of your participating third party apps to understand how they use and share your play data and related information.\n\nAt all times, information collected by Apple will be treated in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.apple.com/privacy.
